Structural Steel & Bolting Special Inspection in Reno & Northern Nevada

Jones Weldco performs special inspection of structural steel, structural welding and high-strength bolting as required by IBC Chapter 17 and your project's Statement of Special Inspections. Every inspection is performed by Nick Jones, an ICC S1 (Structural Steel & Bolting) and ICC S2 (Structural Welding) certified special inspector and AWS Certified Welding Inspector.

What's covered: fit-up, in-process and final visual inspection of CJP, PJP and fillet welds to AWS D1.1, D1.3, D1.4 and D1.8; high-strength bolting per the RCSC Specification, including pre-installation verification, snug-tight, pretensioned and slip-critical joints by turn-of-nut, calibrated wrench, twist-off (TC) and DTI methods; steel frame inspection of member sizes, connections, bracing, anchor rods and embeds against the approved drawings; material verification of mill certs, bolt markings and filler metal; and demand-critical welds and protected zones in seismic force-resisting systems.
